Safety and Travel Tips

Expert Travel Tips

I found a list of some pretty common-sense travel tips from Canadian Alex Tilley at Travel Tips. The list contains some travel ideas that you might consider basic, but others seem to come from someone’s unfortunate experiences.
For example, he suggests:

  • Researching your destination for any communicable diseases in order to be vaccinated prior to leaving home.
  • Keep photocopies of your passport, ID and other important papers separate from the originals when you travel. If the originals are lost or stolen, the copies can help you get back on your way sooner.
  • Leave a travel itinerary with someone at home in case you need to be reached in the event of an emergency.
While these ( and the other tips on his list) may seem too elementary to bear consideration, I have often found it helpful to keep a copy of a checklist like this handy.

Hey, if pilots and astronauts need lists, so do the rest of us.
